Sisterhood and Life

What about that Dancing with the Stars last night!!  I am loving the dancers this season.  I wasn't sad to see Elisabetta Canalis go last night.  I don't know how to describe it, but she wasn't doing it for me. Anyways, I think Chaz might need to go next.  I know, but I am just saying....

The reason I am posting today is to discuss success both your personal life and business.  Most people discuss those two topics as separate entities.  I personally have seen those two things come together in my world.  As you know, I am a stay at home mom of two and recently started an online marketing business.

After my grandmother died last year, I really started looking into what my life is all about.  I never knew myself to have this drive to do something grand or a hunger for a career.  I love being with the kids and I love working and socializing with people too.

I came across an old childhood friends website portfolio today. http://fabmom.com   I am really proud and inspired by her success.  She was always the girl you knew would do cool things in her life.  I had fun reading her blog and realized that we are all the same.

This is another girlfriend of mine from my hometown

As women and mothers, we want others to empathize with our pain and struggles.  There is a great community of women online that are sharing their highs and lows of life with the world.  I feel so inspired to share this great gift of motherhood with women as well.

So pay it forward and share your story of inspiration or determination with someone today.  This type of sisterhood can bring us together.

Love ya all

Standing in the Rain

Have you been caught in a rain storm?  You know that pathetic feeling you get when you are so wet and cold that nothing can warm you up?  Today I realized that we, as women, allow ourselves to get stuck in those rain storms all too often.  I am so guilty of lingering in those cold drenched clothes and feeling sorry for myself.  Those desperate situations are what shape us in life, motherhood and all relationships.

I watched a homeless woman have two men drag her across the road today.  She was either intoxicated or mentally ill or both.  It was so sad to me that this woman was suffering in such a public way.  The one man was very upset and almost left her there due to his frustration and anger.  I thought to myself, what happened in this woman's life that led to this low point?  How close are any of us to being in that state of despair?

At that moment, I realized that my life would not be dictated by anger or negativity of others.  Remember ladies, we are the strong and very resilient.  I have held myself back for fear that I would be criticized by strangers.  Mark my words, I will be successful in this life in more ways than one.

When you get caught in those wet clothes, shed them immediately and allow yourself to get warm.
